AI Privacy: My 4 Tools & 8 Rules

This week, I'm sharing the results of my testing of multiple private AI options that represent different approaches to privacy: middleman, locally hosted, private models and more. If you want more privacy in your use of AI, watch this:

Go Deeper: As with most technology that I've reviewed, privacy tends to boil down to how you use it instead of the specific tools that you use. Here are some other examples:

Early Days of AI

Hi [CORRECTED_NAME GOES HERE], everything is moving so fast when it comes to AI. I've been hesitant to produce a video on the subject mostly because I'm afraid it will be obsolete by next month.

I'm also honestly overwhelmed by the hundreds of options that are available and the new things that seem to pop up every single week.

But as with all technology, it's not just about the tool.

This week I'm sharing the results of my testing of multiple AI tools that I think are worth looking at. I chose them because they represent different ways of approaching privacy as we use AI. For example, you have...

  • The Middleman: an approach to privacy where you introduce a trusted middleman who adds anonimity.
  • Locally Hosted: the gold standard of privacy is doing everything on-device, but does it work?
  • Privacy-First Models: does this even exist?
  • Privacy Settings: is it even worth changing the settings of the popular models?

In this week's video on AI privacy, I'm not only sharing with you a few of the AI privacy tools you can try, I'm also going to give you an 8-rule framework to help you judge any future tools that pop up.

Data Privacy

AI isn't the only way that your personal data is at risk. Data brokers are constantly scraping your information and selling it online. I've been using and recommending DeleteMe for years, and if you've been on the fence, give it a try and give yourself the peace of mind.
