As I think about this shift toward "ambient recording" (watch this week's video to understand), it makes me wonder if I'm going to have to ask guests who come in my home to take off their watch...

...and their glasses...

...and their phone...

...and their AI listening device...

...and leave it all at the door just so we can have a private conversation. I mean, is this what we're coming to?

​Is Apple's biggest privacy feature self-serving?​

Apple is facing a £2 billion ($2.7 billion) London lawsuit brought on behalf of app developers over its app ​tracking rules, with the iPhone maker accused of abusing its power ‌to unfairly impose greater restrictions on third parties.

​153 million stolen driver's licenses​

Identity verification company IDScan has confirmed that hackers accessed customer data stored in its cloud platform, days after reports linked the company to a massive database containing more than 153 million driver's license scans.

​Meta targets you...but can't identity its own ads?​

San Francisco’s city attorney has hit Meta with a cease-and-desist letter telling the company to stop “allowing” paid advertisements that include AI-generated child sexual abuse content and asked it to explain how the ads repeatedly ran on its platforms.
